This "Rugged" style is Hand-tied of 12 all 100% Mohair strands on a specially designed no-slip, pure mohair core, these Mecates are durable and comfortable, flexible without stretch, and breathable for rapid drying. The interlocking knots prevent the core from pushing out between strands! ArtCords is proud to provide you with the quality you deserve by placing a comfortable lead in your grasp. I am just learning about mecate reins and have been told this is what i need to purchase , how much do they weight?, I believe these will be nice in my hands over horse hair, do they attract the "sand burs we have here . . .

Due to the custom nature of our business and periodic nature of our public education travels, we use one or two days each week as 'Packing and Shipping days'. Thus we are able to offer the following as estimated times for processing and shipping orders (we do not ship items on the weekend or when we are traveling.):
In-stock Hardware and off-the-shelf items can take 5 to 7 business days (When we first review your order we will contact you in the event of an item being unavailable or on back-order)
Pre-ordered items such as cordage and cinches using in-stock materials often take 4 to 6 weeks for completion unless otherwise identified in the specific listings. Please feel free to call or e-mail us for current estimated shipping times.
We do our best to provide reasonable estimates and ask you to recognize that the variable nature of quality hand-plied cords requires special handling for the comfort and health of horses and mules. We absolutely refuse to compromise cinch quality through the shortcuts favored by many of our competitors in the industry. We believe it is important to protect your investment through appropriate care in materials preparation and over-all craftsmanship.
Shipping and Handling(S/H) charges provided by ArtCords, LLC cover priority shipping through the United States Postal Service for what we have found to be the most reliable service both in the USA and Internationally. Due to the custom nature of our products, shipping rates have been pro-rated by value of total order to cover priority shipping, packaging materials/labor, and insurance. $7.95 is our lowest fee for S/H. For shopping cart S/H fees calculated at $10.00 or more, we reserve the right to adjust the fee lower, should the order be determined to fit in a more economical package, prior to processing payment. This reduction of S/H fees is at our sole discretion without contacting the customer. In many cases the shopping cart's shipping calculation should be recognized purely as an estimated maximum charge which will go no higher even for pre-ordered items which ship separately. Should the shipping fee need to be increased upon initial review of your order, we will contact you and determine the most economical alternative(s) available, before processing order payment and reserving materials for any pre-ordered items. Such communication may include an agreement of processing the shipping fees at the time of packaging the order. We do not use UPS or FedEx do to local reliability and cost issues with both.

The products of ArtCords, LLC are crafted one-at-a-time and (unless specifically stated otherwise), carry an industry-standard 90-Day warranty against defects due to manufacturing or craftsmanship. Warranty only covers replacement of product with item of equal value at time of contact. Original purchase price will be credited toward products of greater value. Due to the rising cost of materials, especially true mohair, refunds are not provided. Any use of the product that falls outside of the designed use of the product as intended by the manufacturer, voids the terms of warranty. SADDLE CINCHES - Now provided with a 3 year warranty! Designed for traditional use as the belt securing a saddle to an animal, our cinches are carefully crafted, keeping the comfort of your animal in mind. Some animals are ultra-sensitive to any material used as a cinch. So please keep this in mind! We are committed to quality products and helping you find the best fit for the needs of your animal. Our cinches are globally recognized as Premium Quality and are also being used as wall hangings/home decor. Educational Materials: Please remember that these materials are provided as is and are protected by copyright law. No return of educational materials is accepted. All information provided by Artcords is accurate to the best of our knowledge at the time of publication. Artcords considers this to be valuable knowledge that may be modified in subsequent published works, since new discoveries and experiences are continually taking place. Custom Images: Every effort is made to provide quality prints to be enjoyed for years. Keep in mind that environmental conditions such as light, heat, and humidity must be carefully considered to maximize the life of your investment. Due to the fragile nature of these items, we can only provide an exchange or repair of an item that is determined compromised when we are notified within two days of the customer's receipt of the item.

We reserve the right to determine whether an item requires repair or needs to be exchanged. Return merchandise with RMA number and purchase receipt/invoice to: ArtCords LLC (print RMA number Here) Post Office Box 1026 Gentry, Arkansas 72734 NOTE: Returns sent with no RMA number, or purchase receipt/invoice will be returned to sender.
----Repair/exchange--- Items covered by Warranty: Customer assumes all costs in shipping to us, and we assume the cost in shipping back to the customer. All replacement/repaired products are shipped USPS Priority Mail unless a rush is requested. The cost of such a shipping upgrade is to be paid by the customer prior to shipment.
Non-warranty exchange: Any return for exchange of a product not clearly documented as being covered by the ArtCords warranty, will incur a $40.00 re-stocking fee.
